Most computers are vulnerable these days. Everyone needs protection and should follow some basic techniques to have a secure system. You will find the basic guidelines needed to keep your computer system with the least amount of security problems.

Major points that relate to this:

The points noted above are the primary things that a computer user need to consider when using a system and be secured.

Operating Systems...

Firstly, all OS's have similarities in security and all of them can be configured to a "rock-solid" secure system that possibly the one who did the configuration won't even be able to enter the system ;-) This is an extreme example but true. LINUX/UNIX systems are the most secure as OS's, MAC is also at a similar level and finally WINDOWS is the least secure system of all. Depending on the use and level of security needed the choice is free to the user.

User Accounts (log-in)...

Secondly, the user logged-in to a system should NEVER use the system's Administrator account, because that is where problems arise. The Administrator should only be the one to install software or devices, in ALL other cases should not be used for any reason. Internet is THE most unlikely place to use the Administrator account. Why? This is because if an attacker(either human or software) needs to force itself into the system the "power mode" to do it is retrieving the Administrator account, then all actions can be done.

The Web Use...

Thirdly, the Web. When a user goes to a page that was searched there are many possibilities to be attacked from a source over the net. Peer-to-peer sharing sites are one of the main ways, unfamiliar sites, adult-related sites are a very popular source of attacks & viruses no doubt and other minor interest sites that are there just as "traps" to capture surfers.

The newtrics suggestion...

If your OS is configured correctly, the user accounts are limited and do not belong to the Administrator user group and the correct use of the web is held, the use of the system will shielded! If there are any queries Contact us for help.
